North Oaks Clinic Building Grand Opening Celebration Scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24, 2012

The North Oaks Health System Board of Commissioners, Administration and Staff invite the community at large to the grand opening celebration for the new North Oaks Clinic Building this Thursday, Jan. 26 from 5-7 p.m. A complimentary health fair with screenings will be offered after a brief ribbon cutting program in the building’s 1st floor main lobby.

Last year, the 3,400 employees of Baton Rouge General Medical Center’s two campuses, at Mid City and Bluebonnet, kicked off a new, internal fundraising campaign in grand style. Through donations of all sizes, employees raised $105,000, matched up to $100,000 by the hospital, to accomplish several things at the hospital.

University of South Alabama Gets New Campus Center - The new center in Mobile, Ala., officially opened on Aug. 27, 2010, and has helped revitalize campus recreation and created a new sense of community. A formal dedication ceremony for the new center, located at Old Shell Road and Stadium Boulevard, was held on Sept. 16.

The 116,000-square-foot recreation center is all about wellness and health, so school officials didn't plan enough parking for students and faculty.
