The design for Office of the State Fire Marshall is an integral part of the Department of Public Safety’s Master Plan on the Independence Boulevard Site. It responds to the character of the other buildings while creating a distinct identity.
The generous glass entry lobby is screened from the harsh southern sun through the use of broad overhangs and deep mullions, and creates an inviting light-filled space for the numerous visitors to this building. The thoughtful plan has improved the overall efficiency of the Office of the State Fire Marshall.
